Our New Blog

A little over two years ago, EagleBank merged with Fidelity & Trust and I joined forces with well known local banker Bob Pincus. Together with our teams of skilled community bankers, we created one of the  strongest performing community banks—with record earnings, tremendous loan growth and a greatly expanded customer deposit base.

The merger worked because Bob and I along with our teams share a similar philosophy —  community banking is about building lasting relationships with customers and establishing deep ties to the community. It is to this philosophy that I dedicate our first EagleBank blog.

Readers can expect to find a mix of content here. I will be sharing my thoughts on critical banking regulatory and policy issues such as my recent opinion column that appeared in the Washington Post’s Capital Business. I’ll also be sharing my thoughts on EagleBank accomplishments and activities, including our charitable work through the EagleBank Foundation and our involvement in major community projects such as the restoration of the Howard Theatre. Other EagleBank leaders will share their thoughts and we will be spotlighting our clients and their thoughts on the key industries that drive our local economy.

I’ll “check in” from time to time. My first posting follows this introductory post. I’d like to hear your thoughts. Please email me at ronsblog@eaglebankcorp.com.
